The advantage is: if the blade gets blunt after long usage, just take off the cap at the end, pull out the cutter only until the blunt blade part appears outside, adjust it and put the cap at the end onto the blunt blade. With the cap at the end you can safely break the blunt part of the blade. You can do this 7 times.
